Yesterday I came across this article in the New York Times. Those who know me well are aware of my love of a certain Jazz era - Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Ella Fitzgerald, and so forth. Ella, for me though, is the greatest.


One of the wonderful things about being interested in living artists is to see what they are going to come up with next - what recordings they'll make or what programs they'll chose. So what a treasure it is to have new things to listen to from a great who has left us. It makes you wonder what else is out there - not only from Ella Fitzgerald, but from Rubinstein, or Horowitz, or Toscanini, or Bernstein, or Sofronitzky, or Heifetz, or ...
